Sportscape Education delivers Level 1 Activator qualification to Everybody Health & Leisure summer staff

Preparing staff to deliver engaging, safe and inclusive activities is essential to creating memorable holiday experiences for young people - and that's exactly what Sportscape Education has been helping to achieve.

The qualification introduces learners to the role of a sports activator, covering how to organise fun, inclusive activities while developing leadership, communication and coaching skills.

Everybody Health & Leisure is a charitable trust that operates 18 leisure centres across Cheshire, offering facilities including gyms, swimming pools, athletics tracks, padel courts and community sports programmes.

During the summer holidays, the organisation delivers a range of activity camps and Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) sessions across three of its centres, making staff development a key priority.

By completing the nationally recognised qualification before the holidays begin, Everybody's summer workforce is now better equipped to deliver engaging sessions that inspire children to stay active while ensuring activities are safe, inclusive and enjoyable.

The partnership also highlights Sportscape Education's commitment to supporting employers through flexible, industry-relevant training.

Alongside apprenticeships and accredited qualifications, the organisation works with businesses and community organisations to upskill existing staff with practical courses that have an immediate impact in the workplace.

As demand for high-quality holiday provision continues to grow, investing in staff training ensures organisations such as Everybody Health & Leisure can continue providing outstanding experiences for children while giving employees valuable qualifications that support their future careers in coaching, education and the wider sport and physical activity sector.
