About: This qualification will allow learners to gain knowledge and skills to work as a multi skills - sports coach which will allow them to organise and run physical activity sessions!
Purpose: This course can provide successful candidates with the perfect start to progress within the sports coaching and education sector.
Requirements: Learners must be a minimum of 14 years old to take part in this course.
Units:
Unit One - How to activate participants through Multi Skills.
Unit Two - Understanding their role as an activator.

Title: 1st4sport Level 2 Award in Multi-Skills Development in Sport.
About: The qualification is designed for learners who already hold a level 2 (or above) qualification in coaching.
Entry requirements: Learners must be a minimum of 16 years old at registration and 17 years old at certification.
Qualification overview: Provides the knowledge and skills to coach multi-skills and how to enhance sessions with the principles of fundamental movement skills and fundamental sports skills. This is not a sport-specific coaching qualification.
Qualification objective: This qualification qualifies learners to incorporate fundamental movement skills and fundamental sports skills in multi-skills sessions.
Qualification purpose: Prepare for employment in a specific occupational area.
Assessment methods: The assessment methods used in this qualification are: Coursework (in 1 of 1 mandatory units).
Qualification progression: The skills and knowledge developed may be used to enable learners to progress to other industry-relevant qualifications such as activity leadership, supporting PE in school sport and sports development. It may also further prepare a learner for sport-specific Level 3 coaching qualification.

Title: 1st4Sport Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training.
About: This qualification is for learners who wish to become personal trainers. This qualification can lead to employment or self-employment as a personal trainer or promotion to the role of a personal trainer for a fitness instructor already in employment.
Entry requirements: Learners must be a minimum of 16 years old at registration and 16 years old at certification.
Qualification overview: Develops the knowledge, skills and confidence for people to become a personal trainer and deliver safe and effective personal training programmes. This product is awarded 10CPD points with CIMSPA.
Length of course: 3 years
Qualification objective: This qualification qualifies learners to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective personal training programmes.
Qualification purpose: Prepare for employment in a specific occupational area.
Assessment methods: The assessment methods used in this qualification are:
- Coursework (in 7 of 7 mandatory units),
- Multiple Choice Examination (in 2 of 7 mandatory units),
- Practical Demonstration/Assignment (in 7 of 7 mandatory units)
Qualification progression: Learners could progress to other related 1st4sport qualifications, for example: • 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport • 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education and School Sport • 1st4sport Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Personal Training Achievement of this qualification would also allow learners to progress onto higher level qualifications within the fitness industry that focus on specific participant conditions including managing lower back pain, managing obese and diabetic clients and working with individuals with mental health conditions This qualification may lead to permanent employment as a Personal Trainer. Learners who complete this qualification are eligible to join the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) as a Level 3 member.

Level 1 Qualification in Sports Leadership
Age: 12+
A three-day course for young people looking to develop leadership skills through sport. Participants learn to lead small groups and gain experience to support progression into further training.

Level 2 Qualification in Community Sports Leadership
Age: 13+
This nationally recognised course prepares learners to lead safe, enjoyable activities under supervision. With 48 hours of guided learning, it’s ideal for those making a positive impact in schools or communities.

Level 3 Qualification in Sports Leadership
Age: 15+ (17+ on completion)
An advanced course enabling learners to lead inclusive sessions independently. It carries UCAS points, making it an excellent option for sixth formers pursuing sport-related university pathways.

The Community Activator Coach Standard will underpin occupations such as an Activator, Sports Coach, Activity Leader, Community Worker or Outreach Officer. The Community Activator Coach promotes, delivers and coaches fun, inclusive and engaging activities that help whole communities to change their behaviour, adopt and keep to a physically active lifestyle. Community Activator Coaches are more than activity and sports leaders – they understand communities and customers. They will be equipped with the specialist knowledge needed to effectively work with one customer group (such as inactive teenagers) but also be knowledgeable about other inactive customer groups whom they may be expected to work with on occasions.
Course Length: 12-18 months

The key role of a Community Sport and Health Officer (CSHO) is to initiate behaviour change in local residents with regards engagement in sport and physical activity across local communities. By working within and across local organisations individuals will scope, organise and coordinate the delivery of opportunities for local communities to get more physically active.

The Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher apprenticeship standard is designed for educators teaching students aged 14 and above in the Further Education (FE) and skills settings, including colleges, independent training providers, adult community learning, and work-based environments.
Course Length: 18 months

Apprentice Requirements:
Before starting this apprenticeship, learners must meet the below entry requirements:
- Core Qualifications: GCSEs (grades A*-C or 4-9) or Level 2 Functional Skills in both Maths and English. Basic digital skills are also expected.
- Subject Knowledge: A Level 3 qualification (or higher) and proven occupational competence in the specific vocational subject you plan to teach.
- Learners will need to complete an interviews before enrolment for this apprenticeship
