BTEC Sport Tutor job at Walsall FC: Sportscape Education recruiting qualified sports teachers
For those with a passion for sport and education, opportunities to shape the next generation of learners do not come around every day.
A new tutoring role at Walsall FC’s Bescot Stadium is offering exactly that, the chance to inspire young people studying sport while helping them prepare for careers in the industry.
Sportscape Education is currently recruiting for a part-time BTEC Sport Tutor to join its growing education provision from September.
The role will see the successful candidate teaching learners across all three BTEC pathways, Certificate, Diploma and Extended Diploma, supporting students as they develop both practical and theoretical knowledge within sport and health-related subjects.
Based at the home of Walsall FC, the position combines education with a real sporting environment, helping to create an engaging setting for learners looking to progress into higher education, coaching, fitness, sports science and other sectors within the industry.
The role is suited to experienced educators who can bring energy, structure and encouragement to the classroom.
Candidates are required to hold a Level 5 teaching qualification alongside a degree in a relevant subject area such as sport, health or science.
While previous experience delivering BTEC qualifications would be beneficial, it is not considered essential for the right applicant.
The post will involve 12 hours of teaching spread across a Monday afternoon and a full Wednesday, with training taking place ahead of the September start date.
Applicants will also need to be able to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
