Sportscape Education tutor achieves Level 3 Award in Education and Training

Sportscape Education is proud to celebrate the success of one of its own - Leigh Owens - who has recently achieved his Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), marking a significant milestone in his professional development as an educator.

Formerly known as PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector), the AET is a nationally recognised qualification designed for those beginning their journey into teaching and training.

It provides the essential foundation in planning, delivering and assessing inclusive learning experiences across a range of educational settings.

With this qualification, Leigh is now fully certified to teach in environments such as further education colleges, private training organisations, and adult education programmes.

Leigh, who is already a valued tutor on Sportscape Education’s programmes, brings with him a wealth of practical experience from the world of sport and coaching.

His achievement in securing this formal qualification further strengthens the quality of teaching and mentorship provided to Sportscape learners - many of whom are aspiring coaches and sports professionals themselves.

Leigh said: "Studying for the AET has not only broadened my understanding of effective teaching practices, but also reaffirmed my passion for helping young people progress and succeed.

“I’m looking forward to using what I’ve learned to continue delivering high-quality lessons and inspiring the next generation."

At Sportscape Education, we are committed to supporting the continued development of our staff, ensuring that learners benefit from up-to-date knowledge, engaging delivery, and a genuine passion for teaching.

Congratulations to Leigh on this well-earned accomplishment.
