Free summer sports coaching courses for teens aged 14+: Level 1 Award for Activators (Multi-skills) qualification thanks to #HAF programme
This summer Sportscape Education is offering a unique opportunity for teenagers aged 14 and above who are eligible for the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme.
In partnership with Sports Coaching Group and EMPHASIS CIC, we’re running a free, one-day 1st4Sport Level 1 Award for Activators (Multi-Skills) course - a perfect introduction for young people interested in sport, coaching, and community involvement.
This engaging course gives teenagers the chance to work alongside experienced head coaches, learning what it takes to become a sports activator or coach.
From team games to leadership exercises, the day is designed to build confidence, communication, and mentoring skills - valuable assets for future employment or volunteering roles.
The course will run from 8.45am to 3.15pm and includes lunch as part of the #HAF programme.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to gain a recognised qualification, get active, and explore career pathways in sport - all completely free.
Dates and venues include:
📍 Edleston Primary School , Crewe – August 4
📍 Brine Leas School, Nantwich – August 11
📍 Sandbach Boys’ School – August 18
By offering these funded places, we’re not only helping teens gain practical experience and life skills, but also supporting our wider community.
At Sportscape Education, we believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive - and the Level 1 Activator course is just one way we’re making that happen.
